We present these pages to offer some
well-deserved recognition for the wonderful people who
have given their ideas, sweat, and time to the Marshalltown Community
Theatre. Without their efforts, our theatre would be little
more than a dark room. We celebrate your generous gift to our
community!
If
you
have participated in an MCT production in the past, in any capacity,
please take your bow with the folks on these pages. Contact the MCT
Web Site Information Director and arrange to be included.

Lynn MAAS Marshalltown, IA
Lynn, an MCT
veteran in her own right, began at our theatre by performing in one of
the GALA's sometime during the 1980's. Since then, she has worked back
stage, as well as on stage in a variety of capacities. Her first "real"
role was the 1990 portrayal of Audrey in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, and
although she has performed in several GALA's, Lynn is probably best
remembered as Sister Mary Amnesia in all of the NUNSENSE productions. In
addition, she served many years on the Board of Directors as Costume
Designer. Employed at Lowe's Flowers, Lynn and her husband Bill have six

Kevin MARING Marshalltown, IA
Kevin recently realized that
there are plays he'd like to see on the MCT stage that aren't going to get
there unless he directs them himself, so when Katherine asked him to help
her direct DEATH OF A SALESMAN, he “leapt at the chance to learn from a
master.” Among the things he has learned: "When dealing with actors,
always remember Al Capone's dictum, that a kind word and a handgun will
get you further than a kind word alone, and just because I would have done
it differently doesn't mean I would have done it better, or even as well.
...Although it still hurts that I got beat out by a new-comer for the role
of Linda Loman."

with appearances in two of our 1997 productions, BREAKFAST WITH LESS AND
BESS, and THE LION IN WINTER, along with one of the NUNSENSE productions

Brenda MORRIS Marshalltown, IA
Brenda loves the
theatre. She cannot remember a time she was not involved in one way
or another. She is currently on our Board of Directors, serving as
Board Secretary. Brenda, shy as she is,
enjoys acting the most, especially in comedies, but nothing comes close to
the enjoyment she receives from the friends she has made at the theatre.
Brenda came to our theatre in 1993 when the Lennox plant in Columbus, Ohio
was closed. Since then, she has been a valuable asset to MCT in many
ways, on and off stage. Brenda is presently
struggling to be an
author of children's books.
She has a
wonderfully supportive husband, Charlie, a favorite (and only) son, Eddie,
and in her words, “The two most intelligent cats in the universe (Leo &
Fritz).”
