Jennifer KILMER
Marshalltown, IA
In high school Jennifer was very active in Theatre, Choir, and Speech.  Her first experience here at MCT is that of cast member in our 2003 production of THE WOMEN, playing a pedicurist and a debutante.  She is enthusiastic about her involvement at MCT and plans to continue.  Her comment on the play: "Soooo much estrogen!!"

Benjamin KIRNER
Marshalltown, IA
Benjamin made his MCT debut in the 2006 Summer Musical, WORKING. He attends Marshalltown Area Catholic School, and is a Boy Scout. He spends some of his time reading fantasy comics, playing the XBox®, and enjoys collecting Garfield books, singing, and playing soccer.

Christine KIRNER
Marshalltown, IA
Christine has been on the MCT stage in GALA 2003, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, and COMPANY.  She performed in MAN OF LA MANCHA while a student at the Marshalltown High School. Christine studies dance locally with teacher Marcia Taylor.

Joel KIRNER
Marshalltown, IA
Joel has appeared in the Marshalltown Community Y Thimble Theatre production of THE WIZARD OF OZ and MACBETH at Marshalltown High School.  He made his MCT debut with JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR in the summer of 2004, where he joined his sister Christine, and mother Pat, on our stage. He joined his sister on stage once again in 2007, playing Harry in the Summer Musical COMPANY.

Jonathan KIRNER
Marshalltown, IA
Jonathan made his MCT debut in WORKING.  Along with being a student at Marshalltown Area Catholic School, he is also involved in Cub Scouts.  His favorite school subjects are art and recess, and he has been involved in dance, performing in THE NUTCRACKER at the Main Street Dance Academy. Jonathan likes soccer, tennis, track, golf, playing video games, and reading Lemony Snicket books.  He is also a fan of The Beatles, and a collector, although the things he likes to 'collect' end up lying around the house and frustrating his mom!

Pat KIRNER
Marshalltown, IA
Pat is a longtime MCT audience member who finally decided to get on the stage with JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.  Her last play was MY FAIR LADY in high school as a resident of Southern Illinois.  Currently she resides in Marshalltown with her husband, Tom, and their five children, two who joined her onstage in SUPERSTAR.  Pat has always appreciated the effort that many people have put into each production at MCT. She and her husband have seen almost all of the theatre's productions.

Philip KIRNER
Marshalltown, IA
Philip made his MCT stage debut as a Workhouse Assistant, Bow Street Runner, and Chorus member in our 2008 summer musical, OLIVER!, although he has had experience working backstage for other MCT productions and performing on-stage in his high school production of OKLAHOMA!  He considers himself a stay-at-home couch potato in spite of his enjoyment of activities like rock climbing, reading, video games, and scuba diving.

Thomas W. KIRNER
Marshalltown, IA
Tom's hobbies include playing musical instruments,  reading, and dabbling in language research and archeology.  He is an electrical engineer at Fisher Controls. WORKING was Tom's debut on the MCT stage, with high school theatre involvement in the distant past.  He was also a former union card-carrying rock musician in the '70s.

Bob KRUSE
Conrad, IA

A resident of Conrad, Bob is heavily involved with his hometown Whistlestop Players in addition to his appearances at MCT. Past MCT appearances have included A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM and GALA 2002, while his Whistlestop involvement includes PAINT YOUR WAGON, MY FAIR LADY, STATE FAIR, 1776, OKLAHOMA, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, SING ON and SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS. Many of those performances gave him the chance to appear onstage with his wife Monica.  Bob has also been involved with Ingersoll Dinner Theatre in Des Moines.  When he isn't onstage, Bob still plays one of the most demanding roles there is: A school bus driver.

Julie KRUSE-BREWER
Marshalltown, IA

Julie is a Marshalltown native who first performed on the Martha Ellen Tye stage in high school during the '70's!  She earned a degree in Speech and Theatre from the University of Iowa, and spent several years on stage in the Chicago area.  Julie returned to this area in the early '90's and again in 2006, and has become a staple on the MCT stage.  Her favorite role has been that of Reverend Mother in all five NUNSENSE musicals produced by MCT. Although Julie has portrayed dramatic roles, her passion is comedy.  Making people laugh and lightening their hearts are what she enjoys most, but she also likes spending time with her dad (who never misses a show) and her husband, Mark. 
Julie is currently on our Board of Directors, in charge of the House.

Monica KRUSE
Conrad, IA

Monica is a longtime performer and director who has appeared in a variety of shows at MCT, as well as the Whistlestop Players in Conrad.  Some of her MCT productions include A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, GALA 2002, THE GOOD DOCTOR, PLAY ON and WAITING IN THE WINGS.  Her Whistlestop credits include PAINT YOUR WAGON, SING ON, NUNSENSE, SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS, MY FAIR LADY, STATE FAIR, QUILTERS, OKLAHOMA and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.  One of her most recent directing projects was the Whistlestop Players production of THE COMPLETE WORKS OF WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE (ABRIDGED).

Sherry KUBALSKY
Marshalltown, IA

Sherry portrayed Phyllis in PLAY ON back in 2002, and returned to MCT with her portrayal Mimi Ralston in our 2007 production of COCKTAILS WITH MIMI. She maintains a busy life with family, friends, and church, writing puppet skits, singing, and playing the guitar in the Contemporary Worship Band for Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Sherry is a Medical Social Worker for MMSC, the Museum Coordinator for the Iowa Veterans Home, and in her spare time, she enjoys camping, quilting, walking, and traveling (especially out of the country). Sherry's husband David is the Technology Coordinator at Grinnell Schools; she has three daughters, one step daughter, one stepson, and her desire would be to meet Robert Redford some day!!  Sherry says "I'd take a million friends over a million dollars any day, but it would be nice to have both!"

Kimi KUPS-BENSON
Marshalltown, IA

Kimi is a veteran choreographer for MCT, with her work on display in multiple GALAS as well as recent MCT productions of CABARET and JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR.  She teaches dance through the Community Y of Marshalltown.
